Service Center Orientation
Service Centers are satellite offices that work with the departments to meet the HR-related needs of the County's agencies.
An initial orientation by the Service Center is where you would complete your benefits paperwork and sign all the required forms.
View a list of Service Centers if you need to follow up on any information or forms received.

Agency or Department Orientation
Agency or Department orientations introduce you to your position, team, and any requirements or processes.
For example, at VMC employees learn about their agency-specific requirements such as HIPPA.
If you have questions about this orientation, ask your supervisor.

Countywide Orientation
The Countywide New Employee Orientation (NEO) web-based training will provide you with an introduction to the County’s structure, culture, policies, and best practices. You will also learn about the programs and services available to you and how to connect with each when needed. The training is:
- mandatory training for all new hires.
- a self-paced web-based training that can take you up to 2.5 hours to complete
- must be completed within your first 90 days of employment
- in addition to any other orientation completed at your agency/ department
